In Jest: the Former United States in the year 2100

Ah yes. Purely for the fun of it, could this be what the United States look like in the year 2100? As you may notice, they're not so united anymore.
California and Texas, two of the largest states in terms of population, economy and influence, seceded from the Union early on. Nevada joined the former due to economic dependencies. Both are now entirely independent republics.
Continued instability in the remainder of the United States resulted in the departures of both Arizona and New Mexico when the South American Communist Union finally acquired Mexico as a vassal in 2067.
Northern Michigan and Vermont, seemingly always at odds with the U.S., declared secession and joined the Canadian Grand Duchy in 2075.
The United States of America, sparked by the Change movement that began in the early 2000's, had succumbed to the Second Soviet Socialist regime after enduring nearly a half century of famine, disease and barbaric rule by the American government.
Hawaii sloughed off into the ocean after awhile and Alaska supposedly became a colony of purple people-eating alien monsters, but no one really knows for sure.
