A new era begins.

This is Bakkheia Republic, a joint venture between Sir Publius and myself, Sir Michnowski.

Our mission is to enlighten our peers and bring truth to a world ever seemingly on the brink of breaking off into oblivion. To the layman, this is just another attempt to garner attention and be a melodramatic lot of pessimistic, paranoid dudes. Call it what you want; we would like to think that the majority of Generation Y would ultimately empathize with our outlook on the world as it is today and what our ultimate purpose is guiding this little blue planet to a period of Plenty.

There will a great deal of contraction and metamorphosis during our lifetime. Those of us who were born in the 1980s and 1990s have seen a great deal of turbulence already. We’ve witnessed the attacks of 9/11, the subsequent limits on personal liberty, the failure of the American economy and have seen a Black man take the office of the President of the United States, a man promising Change (note the capitalization; I sincerely believe that is what will ultimately be the case in the history books, a sort of tongue-in-cheek reference to when the American people were brought to their knees by a single hollow, empty word).

We are just coming of age in this extraordinary time in history. Many have hypothesized that ours will be a generation of rebirth and regeneration, much like that of our great-grandparents. We’re entering adulthood while seeing the faltering of the world we have grown and have been taught that is damn-near self-governing and limitless. If you’re anything like me, you watched the second plane hit the World Trade Center and thought to yourself, “Nothing will ever be the same.” I feel it was this single event that signaled the latest epoch in which we now reside. The human conscience is considerably dissimilar from that of September 10, 2001. This monumental mutation happened at precisely at the time our young minds were most malleable.

Bakkheia Republic will share with you the news of today in the most honest sense we know how. We will also share our visions of what may be ahead; we are the product of a million generations. This is the dawn of our time on Earth.

Citizens of the Republic, this where we start.
